First responders are today’s heroes, bringing help and hope to the most desperate situations.

Whether responding to acts of terror, tornadoes or floods, or providing life-saving assistance in humanitarian emergencies such as Syria, Iraq or Sierra Leone, first responders willingly face devastation and despair in order to bring hope and assistance to those in desperate need.

But responding to tragedy comes at a high cost. Each year, many first responders are killed or harmed in the line of duty. Many others operate under the daily threat of kidnapping, bombing or attack. And still others struggle with the toll of trauma and the impact of witnessing violence in all its forms.

Since 2001, the Headington Institute has specialized in providing training, counseling, consulting and support to humanitarian relief and disaster workers worldwide so that those who bravely care for others will find the resources they need to keep going.

In memory of 9/11, we invite you to join our movement and give $20 (9+11) to care for first responders working on the frontlines of disaster and crisis worldwide.

Your gift of $20 goes to support:
  • Support  before, during and after deployments
  • Field based training workshops in cities and field locations worldwide
  • Organizational consulting on crisis management and team resilience
  • Free online resources available to first responders everywhere
  • Individual and team debriefs following difficult assignments
  • Crisis care, support, advice & referral

Now is a great time to help us in this effort.
